Between television, comedy and (most importantly) music, actor/comedian/musician Donald Glover has one of the most prolific entertainment careers of all time. He is, however, ending one of his most successful ventures over the last decade; his rapper/singer persona Childish Gambino.
Gambino’s final project, Bando Stone and The New World, is his magnum opus, creating a bridge between his passion for music and film by dropping a movie with the same name. Though the album hit streaming services July 19, no update has currently been given for the release of the IMAX experience yet.
As far as the music, Gambino takes yet another opportunity to push himself past genre definitions, experimenting with new sounds even in the final act of his career.
